Overview
Bonaire is widely regarded as the shore diving capital of the world. The entire coastline is a protected marine park, with over 86 numbered and marked dive sites accessible directly from the beach — no boat required. Rent a truck, load your gear, and dive at your own pace.
The Bonaire National Marine Park, established in 1979, is one of the oldest marine parks in the Caribbean. Anchoring is prohibited throughout, and the reefs show it — healthy hard corals, abundant fish life, and visibility that regularly exceeds 30 meters.
Bonaire suits every diver from beginner to technical. The west coast offers calm, sheltered conditions year-round. The east coast and Klein Bonaire (a small uninhabited island offshore) provide more challenging conditions and pristine, less-visited reefs.

Hilma Hooker
A 236-foot cargo ship sunk in 1984 after being found carrying marijuana. Now resting on its starboard side, it's one of the Caribbean's most accessible and photogenic wrecks.
Town Pier
The most famous night dive in the Caribbean. The pier pilings are encrusted with sponges, tunicates, and corals, hosting an extraordinary density of macro life.
Salt Pier

Klein Bonaire — No Name
The most pristine reef in the Bonaire Marine Park. Untouched hard corals, exceptional fish density, and crystal visibility make this the benchmark for Caribbean reef diving.
Karpata
A classic Bonaire shore dive with a dramatic drop-off starting at 10m. Strong fish life, large sea fans, and regular turtle sightings.
Rappel
Named for the rope used to descend the cliff to the water, Rappel offers a dramatic wall dive with large barrel sponges and excellent deep-water visibility.
